Giving back
“Only from the heart can you touch the sky.” - Rumi
LuluTea was born from deep roots in Mekelle, Northern Ethiopia — my hometown. Long before LuluTea existed, this connection shaped a lifelong commitment to giving back in a meaningful, lasting way.
Since 2010, we have been supporting the Blind School in Mekelle, a boarding school for blind children aged 6–16. Many of these children come from remote areas with little access to specialised education or care. Our support has focused on meeting daily needs, improving learning conditions, and supporting the overall wellbeing of the children — always with respect for their dignity, independence, and potential.
This work has never been about a single moment or campaign. It has been about showing up consistently, year after year.
Through LuluTea, this commitment continues. We accept donations to support this work, and we believe strongly in transparency. Every contribution goes directly toward the children and the school — we do not take salaries, fees, or personal payments from donations. We also make it a priority to show our community exactly where their support goes.
LuluTea reflects where we come from, what we stand for, and our belief that care — when given with intention, honesty, and continuity - can create real, lasting change.
